I come to save the environment!!

I always think in the terrible problems that have the environment, the programs of discovery and others like that, are so catastrophic that I feel really tiny about, because I think that the world need that all the population around the world take responsibility to care the environment.
But the most important is that the governments really change their minds about the environment and spend more money in research and implementation of renewable energy.
I try to be friendly with the environment across to little things like, use not so much paper for writing and printing, I take care the water that we use at home, so I try to take shower in short time, also when I cook and wash the dish I take care to don’t use to much water, I care about the electric energy and I always turn of the light and the stuff that we don’t use , for example the tv.
I think that the Chilean Government is late about recycling, and they just think in the price of the things in the short time, but they don’t understand that the recycling is important because is friendly with the environment and also down the levels of trash. But the government doesn’t want to do because the start of a national program of recycling is really expensive, because you have to spend in center for recycling around the country and also in education, because we need change the culture about recycling.
I think that the more common things that the people recycle are the iron, the card board, the glass bottle and the tine. I think that is really good, but the 80% of the trash is recycling so we can already recycle paper, plastic bottle and all the organic; like vegetables and fruits. Also the people can help with minder use of chimney and car, so we can use the bicycle or food.

Santiago

I from Los Andes city, I live almost three
years in Santiago, and I lived for one year in Belgium. I think that every city
have good and bad things. I have a strange relation with Santiago the most of
the time I really hate a lot of stuff, but I have also my good moments. I love
that you can do a lot of things; of course if you have time, even if you don’t have
money, you can go to the theater, the cinema, carnivals, exhibition, listen
music, and the best that all is free, you just have to look at internet and
decide what you like. Also I like walk around the center or parks , like neighborhoods
of Bellavista, Lastarria, Brazil, Yungay and others. The parks and are a good
option in the spring like Santa Lucia` hills, the Forestal` park and Quinta
normal. I have a very romantic view of walking around in the spring with the
sunset and in company of a good friend, my boyfriend or sometimes alone.
But in the other side I dislike all the noise
of the city, that never stops, the traffic is crazy and the people get stress
for that. Also I don’t like the distance, Santiago is so big that everything is
far away, We don’t have this problem is Los Andes because is small and you can
go on foods to every place and it not take so much time. But here I live in Lo
Barnechea and is far away almost 30 minutes or more to place like the
university, or houses of my friends.
For visitors I would recommender see the center
of Santiago like Plaza de Armas , walk around the Mercado Central and the
Vega, and eat something of the Mercado
also go to the Santa Lucia´ hills and the Neruda’ house.

Nicanor Parra

Fist I disagree with the concept of “the greatest Chilean of all time”, because I think that the history is not about a person, because that person is in relationships with other factors, like the family, teachers, and the ideology of the time, and also the history is writing for a group of people that make things that have consequence in a future, and we would choose since the present which one history is real or valid for us.

Most of the history is writing since the paradigm or view of victors and vanquished, the victors represent all the power of occident, represented in a hero that has always the same characteristics: is man, is white, is colonist and have political power. So the greatest Chilean of all time is naturally related of that concept, and you think immediately in names like: Andres Bello, Balmaceda, Pedro Aguirre Cerda include Salvador Allende. So, in politics I can`t say that someone was the greatest, because all the figure are related to the “perfect white”.

I think that some people can stand up because they contributed in their area or specialty like writing, arts, science, etc. In that way I would name some people that I consider that make interesting contribution to their area, but for the time, I just would refer to Nicanor Parra.

Nicanor Parra is a poet (yes, he is alive, although some people given up for dead XD) member of the Parra`s Family, a know family of Chillan that were artist, in things like music, writing and painting. He is distinguished in the poetry because he is a antipoetry, He won a lot prices, but I think that most destacated about his career is how he laugh of all the things, the politics, the capitalism, the love, etc. He is very ironic , and also have other way to write, that escape of all the formalism of the poetry, so is very free and sarcastic. I`m snake!

I think the horoscope or the Chinese horoscope are interesting to analyze , because produce me a strange feling; in the first moment I always say, that I dont`t belive in the horoscopo, this is because I don`t believe in the way, how they get the information, I know that is something about the position of the moon, and the stars, and them I ask me , how could be that posible? So I dont`t understand how can you say so much of the people only for the position of the star.

But, in the other way; Sometimes I like to read my horoscope, and see what would be happen, in that way is like a game, because I dont`believe, but I find that is nice sometimes know what is the destine about. ;)

In the Chinese Horoscopo I `m Snake; the snake are intelligence, gracefulness (expression with the body) and materialism, they are analytical when making decision, don`t like the problems, but if they want something, they getting dosn`t carry about the others . I `m desagree with the part of the materialism, because I very simple, and I dont`carry about the things and the Money, I never have Money, so I never buy luxurious furnishings how they say.

About the health I think that the most is true because I like the calmnes, be quiet with out noise, and also I get easily stressed, so I have to manageable workload rather.Another think that is also true, is that snake are job-hoppers, because they become easily boring.

In the relationships they say that the snake are very seducers, and always atracting people, I laughed when I reed that, because I `m the least seductive. And also about partner the snake is very jalours ans obsessive, I don`t think that I`m that caint of person, but the only thing that I believe and I hope , is that the 2013 is gonna be my year :)

The summer´ riots

In the summer of 2011 in London , was effecting for riots or street disturbances a big sacking likeprotest. Hundreds of people came out of the street and sacking store and houses. The situation was controls after that the police applied more repressivemethods. The summer ‘riots have a impacted in the population and politics, but also is interesting for the social sciences. So The guardian post and the London School of Economics, made a project for research the cause and the implications of the riots.This article inparticular is called : English riots were'a sort of revenge' against the police and is about a almost 270 interviewsof rioters, an important result was about the view of the police, the 85% of the people that participated in the riots of Augustus, said that the police was a factor in the reasons of the riots.The rioters said that the police are a “gang”, they are protect for the law and the politics, so the police have the power to do whatever they want. So the young felt that the police abused in the dairy life of the poverty people. For their defense,the Association of Chief Police Officers said that the situation was of extreme violence and the way in which events escalated rapidly forced to the unprepared police to do what they done and required 16.000 polices to restore the order.

My Christmas

This Christmas, and all the Christmas of my live I spend it with my family in the house of my grandmother in Santiago. We are 15 people in the close family of my mother , four childrens and eleven adults. All the day was in funtion of Christmas because my grandmother was worry about the time, and she thought that we haden`t enought time, so in the morning,I and my brothers cleaned up all the house, at luch my uncle Esteban came to the house, he was to arriving of the North of Chile, because he was working for a month in different place of the North, we were so happy that he was at home, that we spent all the afternoon talking and watching pinctures of his travel.

In the evening all the family went to the church except me and my two brothers, because we are nonbelievers; so we had the responsibility to get ready the salad, warm the turkey and cook something for the vegetarian. We worked for two hours for get ready all the food, and everything was good and tasty.For us all is about the food and have a good time, so the pressies are not so important, but we laughed a lot and we had really good time, the best moment, was when my mother got a camera how a pressies, haar face was so funny, the most surprise face of all the night, most that any of te childrens.

We have some family tradition , everyone had a Christmas boot, that we handed in the wall of the living room. This boot is full with chocolates, lolypops, candys etc. All the members of the family given money for buy all this sweet stof, and we love this tradicion because we like so much the sweet things.

The destiny of the lenguaje

The lenguaje is want of the most important hability, with out lenguaje the humanity can not comunicate, so the lenguaje existe for comunication. We are agree that the lenguaje is a hability exclusive in our species. Other animals like Chimpance use sings for comunication, but they don´t have the intelegent that we have.

In the history of the human adaptation, our ancestors like the homo erectus and Nearthentalds have the pòsibility of comunication across of social learning by copy, wach and imitaition but not lenguaje. But acroos the years the community culture adaptation enabled accumulation of ideas and them the beginning of the history.

So I agree whit the ideas of the professor, like that the lenguaje is a sort of social technology for cooperation that allows the coordination, also enable to put ideas together, and the most important cuality of the lenguaje is that give creativity, and this is the way how the humanity to transformer the enviroment .

In the actuality we have a big diversity of lenguaje, around the wordl exist about 6.000 different lenguaje, and the professor think that If today the globalization is around the wordl why we speak diffent lenguaje?, the modern world is confronting with the dilema of our destiny is be one world with one lenguaje. I desagree whit that idea, because I think that globalization is just the posibility to comunicate whit other place, but it dosen`t meand that all the wordl have to be always comunicate and undestanding. In the wordl exist a lot of inequality some population is very poverty because the uneven distribution of wealth, and they live whit a down “quality factor”. So i ask, how we gonna comunity with only one lenguaje if the most of pupulation in the wordl don`t have enough food, education and work.

Also the professor dosen`t take into account the factor of the culture, every lenguaje have a determinate culture, some anthropologist think the lenguaje is firt to the culture, whatever, the lenguaje is a way to know how the people is, and the diversity of lenguaje is also refer to the diversity forms to relate and living.

I think is really dificult come back to the study in this period of the year,because the summer and the ending of the year make that everybody feel in their shoulders the tirednees of a log year. I dont like also because I’m from Los Andes, and usually I went to my city home in the months of vacation, so in that way I have to stay in Santiago longer time and that make me depress L. But in the other way Im also happy that we started the clasess, because I missed learning the subject of my career.I have now different cursus like structuralims, psychology, ethnology, prehistory, ethography and investigation workshop, also Aikido. T his semester I’ ll finish the first term of anthopology, and them I’ ll start with the speciallity in social anthropology. So I’ m happy that we’ ll end the semester now, and not in the next year.

2010

The first term of 2010 was in general a good time. A lot of things happening to me…

I started a new carrera in this Faculty, in the begin I was very nervous and expectant, but in the develop of the days it was not so terrible, I kned nice people of the classmade and we became friends easily. The subjects were interesting and Iearnt new things , like philosophy and archeology. My favorite subjects was Mapudungun and Latin American social history because I learnt more about what is happening in our continent and make me grew up some thought about the worl. I hated biology because it was difficult for me, the tests were complicated so I had very low qualification and in the end of the semester I had to make an extra exams L.

I dedicated a lot of time to study , but in my free time I went to the cinema with my boyfriend, I went some wekends to my city home and I rested with my family, sometimes I went to parties whit friends and so for. In general I enjoyed a lot of this time. The most of the time I was at home, helped my grandmother and studied.

The first term of 2010 was in general a good time. A lot of things happening to me

topics I would like to write about :)

I wrote a blog in the third level of English course, it was a nice experience because we wrote topics about our favorite things like music, food and travel. I think that topics like that are interesting because we could to know more about ourselves.So I like the way to write about our favorite things or how we are in the daily life. But also I think that we would be writing our opinion about things that happen in the world; like problems in the countries with the economic, the politics, the poverty, the wars, or in a level more small about Chile and thing like the Mapuche conflict, the healthy in the public hospital , the education and so for. And May be we 'd make a small discussion or debate between the blogs.

My life as a blogger

My blogging experience was good, I hadn’t a blog before, so this was my first time as a blogger. I think that write a blog is nice, because it is a good and easy way for express your opinion, tell about the live or just say your feelings. It’ s also a quickly and masive form to be in the life of many people, that may be don`t know you. The advantice is becoming of the fact that you just need one computer and a good internet conection, but the most important advantage is that nobody is in the front of you , so you can say what you want, and don’t be afraid to expreess your thinking. So is a very good way for the shy people or the people that have a lot of things to express.
I enjoy writing the blog, because is nice talking about personal things, that I never write or think before, that make me think about things very common in the dairy that I never ask me. So the blog help me to knom about my self a lite bit more, be creative and expresive.
Comment to other blogger was a good time because I could know about the claasmate, and discover our different or same opinion.
In the way of the Englhist, I think that really healp me to write more fast , and also be more confidence in the time to write. My English is beter, but even I need more exercise.
The activity was a good exercise for the mind and the personal thinking, that help me in a lot of ways, but the more important is that now I wanna have and write my personal blog, and I gonna try, but in this oportunity in spanish J

Soccer:the opium of the people

I don’t carry about the the world cup of South Africa and in general about soccer , first I don’t like soccer but in the way of a big fanatismp . I like how a sport , and I play sometimes whit friends of my brothers , but i not really good. So I not interested in the soccer, I don’t have a favorite team and also I never wacht the macht on TV. In my family nobody is fans of a team of support one. So I know and understand anythink about soccer.
What the soccer generate in the people is awesome in spetail these days the only one topic is the soccer. I think that soccer is the opium of the people, for many people the soccer is very important ,It is a part of their life, because is a enterteining that give them happys and great moments. I undertsand that , but what i really desagree of these days is all the nationalism that grow more and more. So i hate how the mass media are in these days, only sentimentality.
The mass media and the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association )try to show the wordl cup South Africa 2010 as a moment of peace and good for ala the wordl, but the true is that now are a lot of problems in the world, but the opium of the people make us to forget and don’t thinking in what is wrong.

Beautiful Landscape

I took this picture. I like to take pictures of everything, for example: landscapes, people in the street, animals, in general interesting and beautiful things. I didn`t have a good camera, but I try to take good photos.

This photo I took in the “Cajon del Maipo” in a place called “San Gabriel”.I went to this place with my grandfather and brothers, on the s Winter holidays 2008 .We were in a little and home hut for one week.It was a pleasant place.

In these place we didn’t have tv, so we went all the days on walk to the mountains. Also these days were very cold, and snowed in the mountains very close to us , so we walked around a Kilometer for be in a place with a big concentration of snow.

This day we played in the snow for a pair of hours, a lot of people were there to slide and make snow wars, It was a very nice day with my brothers ,with also an amazing landscape of the snowy mountains.

I took this picture in the montain, when we started to desending because the sunset was coming and the light was donw. In that moment the clouds were beautiful and the light perfect. It was so pretty that I can`t explain with words.

I took a lot of photos as light was not so good , the most of these weren`t fuzzy.

I like this photo because reminds me the nice days with my brothers and our close relationship, but also It make me feel comfortable ,relaxing and happy.

Valpariso

I did a lot of travel in Europe, that i love it , but the more special trip was
the last summer to Valparaiso.
I went with my best friends , my brother and my boyfriend. We stayed in the city around 3 days, in the grandmother's house of one of my friend.
These days were the cultural carnival, so in all the city were stages whit music, theather and dance. During the day we went to some cultural activity or we walked aronund the hills, one of my friend lived in Valparaiso , so we had our own guide because ¡he show us the spetial places.
At night we went to concerts out side in the street, the concerts were very spetial for many of us because the artist were Kevin Johansen , Camila Moreno, Intillimani and Aterciopelados.After the concerts we went to some interesting pubs to drink something or danced in a disco.
We didn't have enought money so all the days we cook our food with a low budget. Also in the morning we went to the beach to walk and swim, and we has a very good weather.
This trip was special because we laughed a lot and a lot of funny things happened to us. Also was a good time with all the group that maked us more closed. Also, it was the firts time that my boy friend came and met my friends, and they become friend very fast.

They started in 1985 as an band of ska, in the begien they wasn`t a group whit experience, so the quality of the songs wasn`t goed. But whit the years the group changed members and become better.
The two origional members of the group are the singer Gabriel Fernandez know as Vicentico and the bassist Flavio Cianciarulo know as Sr Flavio. They are the writers and composers of the most of the songs.
I heard “Los Fabulosos Cadilacs” firts when I was six years old, the songs was “Matador”, I couldn´t to understand what the songs lyric say but I liked the sound. Years after I could to understand the lyric and the song liked me more.
In general I don`t like the Ska music to much, but in the case of “Los Cadilacs” the mix whit others sounds are perfect for me, also I like what the songs say, special the critic to the governments of Latin America, the peace in the world and social conscience, also they have songs of love and some ones are really goed for to dance.
In dicember of 2009 they were in Chile whit “ Satanico Pop tour” this was its come back tour , becouse they were separate for five years. Chile was the last country of the tour and they maked around four concerts. I went whit my brothers that is also a goed fan, for keep the money for to buy the tickets I should to work in the street waving a flag of an political postulant to the senator of Chile, the job wasnt goed , but the concert was so goed that all the stive are not more important.

the notebook

So my favorite piece of technology is my notebook, bacause i can use for comunicate whit friends i n other place in the world, I have a very goed friend from Japon , she lives there so when I want to talk whit him I use the mesenger program , and we can see eacht other with the webcam and talk whit a microphone.Also I send mails to other friends that don´t have time for talk whit webcam and I like send fhotos too. But I always prefer send letters.
Also de notebook is potable for work in diferent place , for example if I go to my original town Los Andes I pick up for work there.I use almost all the days, when I ave to do somethink for the university ,and I also read internet the news papers and books.
I have now a new one, my father buy it for me, the old one was the same brand so I gived to my brother that is in de university too.
The notebook is not so important in my daily life. I can go to the wild and be whit out it. I think that things are not so important , but the modern life make us belive that we need technology all the time.

something smells good!!

My favorite dish in the world are the “porotos granados con bistec” that in english can be traslate how: beans with a piece of steak.
The origens of these dish are chilean. In the firts days of the colonial thit was want of staple of the populace people of Chile. The people eat with dried meat and onion.
Actuality the preparation of the “porotos “ is diferent, because they incorporate corn and other condiments. To prepare this dish for four people you need:
- 1 Kg of white beans.
- 2 corns.
- 1 little spoon of fat.
- 1 tomato
- 1 onion.
- ¼ pumpkin.
- ½ garlic glove.
- Cumin.
- Salt and pepper.
- 4 steak of meat.
Preparation:
Wash the White beans, Clean and take out the shell of the pumpkin leaving it whole. Take out the Shell and cut in Little square the tomato. Cut the onion and the garlic in small square.Fry the onion, the garlic with the fat and tomato. Dress with salt, pepper and cumin.
In a pot put de beans, with the garlic and water until the top of the ingredients. Cook until the beans come soft. Grim the garlic. Grate the corn into the pot.
Add the first preparation to the pot. Cook and stir for 10 minutes.
Cook the steak of meat in a pan.
And you have a really Chilean and very delicios dish of “porotos con bistec”!
